You can surely, play games but only at 1080p. Games that are not graphic intensive might run at 1440p at a playable framerate.

Overall, for general use, it is a great machine and will make you fall in love with the display.

The Blade 15 Base is not the slimmest laptop that I have seen in a while. Not it is the lightest, it is heavier than competing laptops in the article, weighing around 8.95 lbs. or 4 kg. It features the anodized CNC aluminum chassis, which you do not want to place in your lap. If you are not in the mood to burn your lap, you know, laptops tend to get hot while running demanding applications, and we cannot have a similar cooling performance as the desktop due to limited space. Let us talk about how this laptop will perform in games and what you can expect from the RTX 2070 graphics card. Since, I am not reviewing this laptop, feel free to do your research. The graphics card can run most games, including AAA titles at 1440p with over 30 fps. However, I am not impressed with the 4K gaming experience. But, with a few graphical adjustments, 4K gaming on this system will no longer be a dream.

4K is the future of gaming, and we are gradually adopting the resolution for gaming as the new norm but should anyone be investing in a 4K laptop for gaming? It depends on many factors, and the answer will be subjective. I have been gaming since I was a kid, I played with computers when kids of my age played with LEGOs, so, I am pretty confident with my fair share of gaming knowledge. As far as I can tell, 4K gaming on a desktop is accessible and is affordable more than ever. All thanks to the powerful GPUs and CPUs released by tech giants. Laptops, on the contrary, are behind desktops, and that is a fact, no matter what others tell you, we do not have the means to pack desktop-level performance inside a 15 or 17 inches laptop. Fact: 4K gaming laptops are ideal for designing, whether it is 3D or 2D, the 8+ million pixels density provides screen clarity that you will not find in laptops with lower resolutions otherwise. I am not saying that laptops are not 4K capable, they are but require a pretty high-end GPU that costs a fortune, and not everyone is born with a gold spoon in their mouths. If you have the money to spare, sure go ahead for 4K laptops. However, if you want to waste your hard-earned money on something that will hardly last for three or four years at max, I will not recommend buying a 4K laptop for gaming. Regardless of whether you want a desktop or laptop for 4K gaming, there are way too many issues and hassles in between you and your dream 4K laptop. You can only be able to enjoy gaming at 4K. Secondly, the number of pixels to refresh every second is way too many, coming from 1080p or 1440p, which drains the battery as air leaves from a balloon. In short, Sure, 4K gaming is fun and is a treat to experience, but it is not worth the hassle, 1440p, maybe, but 4K is not. I do not recommend going for a 4K laptop for gaming only, but if you want to do some work along with gaming, then they are worth your money.
